2026 is Primary Election Year

The City of Surrey will hold Election on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 with polls open at City Hall from 7:00 a.m to 7:00 p.m.  Come out and vote! 


Positions up are as follows:

Mayor - Four Year Term

Three City Council Members – Four Year Term

One City Council Member – Two Year Unexpired Term

Judge- Four Year Term

Two Park Board Members - Four Year Term

 

If a candidate wishes to have their name listed on the official ballot, a Petition/Certificate of Nomination (SFN 2704) form is required along with a Statement of Interest (SFN 10172) and must be completed, signed, and returned to the City of Surrey c/o City Auditor 100 Pleasant Ave S, Surrey ND 58785 no later than Monday April 6th by 4:00 p.m.  These forms are available at the city office or can be obtained online at vote.nd.gov.  Please feel free to call 701-852-4154 if you have any questions

Notice of Public Hearing

 
A Public Hearing will be held in part with Surrey’s Regular City Council Meeting on Monday, March 2, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Surrey City Hall.  

Topics being addressed include the Lead/Copper Rule relating to public awareness of upcoming water service line inspections that will be performed at 182 residential properties to satisfy the need to identify lead pipes within the water infrastructure system plus discuss City Sales Tax Use of Proceeds whether to further divide dedication and utilize funds for equipment as required to maintain the city’s infrastructure needs.
