SURREY CITY COUNCIL

SPECIAL MEETING

WEDNESDAY, MAY 7, 2008

Council President Dana Larsen called the special meeting to order at 8:00p.m. Present were Council Members Blaine Klein, Kevin Nelsen, Jarvis Sasse, and Laura Volk.  Also present were Chief of Police Brad Seideman and City Auditor Elaine Christianson.  Absent were Mayor Steve Fennewald and Council Member Terry Johnson. 

This was a special meeting to hold interviews for the Part-time Police Officer position. 

Kenneth “Pete” Schneider, the only applicant, was interviewed.

After the interview was conducted, discussion was held on applicant.  Motion made by Volk, second by Sasse, to offer the position to Schneider at a wage of $9.00 per hour.  Roll call vote:  Volk-aye; Klein-aye; Sasse-aye; Nelsen-aye; motion carried.
